UGGs Boot Care & Cleaning

The UGGs boot is made from 100% sheepskin and is therefore naturally water resistant. Small amounts of moisture will not seep through the UGGs boot or damage it. However, for lasting and further protection, treat your sheepskin products with UGG Australia® 'Water & Stain'.

Uggs Boot Maintenance

It doesn't take a lot to maintain sheepskin if a few simple rules are followed.

Never Put An UGGs Boot In The Washing Machine

An ugg boots needs to be hand washed and only in cold water, hot water will damage the sheepskin.

Do Not Apply Cleaner Directly Onto Your UGGs Boot

To clean your uggs boot, wet entire the item with cold water. Dilute 'Cleaner & Conditioner' with ½ water and ½ 'Cleaner & Conditioner'. Apply a small amount of UGG Australia® Sheepskin Cleaner to a sponge or soft brush and clean entire area thoroughly and evenly. Sheepskin has a delicate surface, which can be damaged if scrubbed aggressively, or with undiluted cleaner. Rinse the sheepskin clean in cold water then reshape the boot by stuffing it with paper towels.

Do Not Dry In Direct Heat Or Sunlight

Any natural skin product should never be dried in a clothes or any type of dryer, or in direct sunlight for that matter. The ideal way to dry your favorite footwear is to keep them in a well-ventilated place and allow to dry naturally.

Once the uggs boot is dry, lightly brush with a very soft suede/nubuck brush in one direction only. To help prevent initial staining of your uggs boot or sheepskin footwear, we recommend using the UGG Australia® 'Water & Stain' Repellent as directed on the bottle before the first wearing. Spray the sheepskin product evenly until the surface appears wet, but is not soaked. Let the product dry naturally for at least 24 hours then lightly brush in one direction with a very soft bristle suede/nubuck brush to raise the nap and natural tracking.

Please note that when properly used, UGG Australia® Water & Stain Repellent and Cleaner & Conditioner will help to prevent and/or remove/reduce stains. Like any fine garment, the sheepskin of your uggs boot is delicate and not all stains can be prevented or removed.
